In a nutshell, aroma refers to the smell of the coffee. Body is the general mouthfeel. Acidity refers to the tanginess/tartness of the coffee. Coffee that is tart is said to be bright. Flavor is quite self-explanatory and could be very subjective. The usual flavor notes are floral, fruity and earthy. Finish refers to the ability of the flavor to stay in the mouth/palate. If the flavor stays for a long time, the coffee has a long finish. If it does not, then it has a short finish.
So, employing the said guidelines, I decided to taste McD's Premium Blend coffee (taste, in this context, means noob-review).
Anyway, this is fast food coffee and these are just my opinion. I'm not an expert on this and I am sure others will have their own judgment if they are to try this activity as well. The experience of employing such guidelines was fun. I guess I'll be doing more of this soon.
What do you think of this coffee-tasting activity? Any suggestions on what coffee I should try next? Let me know in the comments below.
